Imagine Trees asks the urban children to envisage their own personal image of a tree, and further contemplate their relationship with trees in the hard days of climate change to come. Imagine Trees is the annual young people’s production by ARTS FISSION. The production comprising 100 young children (including our 30 young friends from Beyond Social Services) performing alongside professional dancers aims to target young audience and families over 6 performances presented on two days. Based on reports of severe deforestation around our Southeast Asia region, Imagine Trees collates a series of dance vignettes on urban children’s impression of imagining trees in their world and spins a poignant caution tale of nature: if nature perishes, so will human. |
