Should I sign up for FRIENDS or FRIENDS CREDIT?

Which card you sign up for will depend on your needs. You will only be allowed to hold one card. Apart from the revolving credit line, both cards offer you the same benefits. When you decide to opt out of either programme, you must redeem all your existing bonus points.

FRIENDS
Just spend $300 or more on the same day and present your original cash register receipt(s) in person within 14 days at the FRIENDS counter at level 2 (receipts used by members, sales orders, credit card and Nets payment slips are not accepted). Please note that only one membership card will be issued per person, regardless of amount spent and number of receipts presented upon application.

FRIENDS CREDIT
All you need is a minimum income of $30,000 per year to qualify for Friends Credit. And its all yours to enjoy the benefits of a member plus credit facilities. Enjoy a low rate of interest at 1% per month ( 12% per annum ) and up to 55 days of interest free credit period from the date of your purchase. A bienial fee of $20 is charged on approval of application. However, the renewal fee is waived if member spent more than $600 within 2 years.

Note: We have temporarily stopped processing the application of the friends Credit Card as the programme is now undergoing review.

Terms and Conditions
1.	The IKEA Friends card is issued by & remains the property of IKEA.
2.	The IKEA Friends programme is intended for individual and/or personal use.
3.	Corporate purchases are not valid for membership application.
4.	All IKEA Friends members must be residents of Singapore & at least 18 years of age & above on the date of application.
5.	The IKEA Friends card is valid for a period of 2 years.
6.	Membership & bonus points will expire every two years. A biennial fee of $20 will be levied upon membership renewal. However, this fee will be waived if $600 is spent within the preceeding two years.
7.	All application forms must be completed in full with original receipts and submitted personally at IKEA Friends' Counter, level 2, of IKEA. All membership cards must be collected in person. This card is not transferable & can only be used by the rightful signatory.
8.	IKEA reserves the right to decline issue of a new card and to withdraw any existing card at any time.
9.	Receipts showing purchases of IKEA vouchers, food & beverages items or charges on kitchen/flooring installation, sewing, delivery & assembly services are not applicable for membership application.
10.	Receipts showing purchases made with IKEA vouchers will be entitled to bonus points. Purchase of IKEA gift vouchers with Friends Credit is not allowed.
11.	To accumulate bonus points, members must show their cards upon reaching the cashier & before a purchase is recorded. The IKEA Friends card must also be produced when ordering benefit priced items at the Sales Counters, on level 2. Failure to do so under circumstances will render certain loss of member benefits and/or privileges.
12.	Members are responsible for informing IKEA either in person or in writing, when the IKEA Friends card is lost, stolen or when there is a change in personal particulars. If this is not done, IKEA will not be accountable for any consequences & any loss of benefits and/or privileges.
13.	An administrative charge of $10 is payable for the replacement of any card in the event of loss or theft.
14.	All terms and conditions of IKEA's 'Returns Policy' will apply to all purchases made by members.
15.	If a member refunds items which are part of the receipt/s used for membership application, IKEA reserves the right to ask for additional purchases to be made within the next 30 days in order to meet the entry criteria. Failure to do so may result in the membership being . revoked. In such cases, all bonus points will be cancelled & membership re-appplication will be subject to the existing entry criteria.
16.	IKEA reserves the right to alter & amend any of the conditions of operation, including any of the IKEA Friends programme, or to terminate it any time without prior notice.
